The BeerHall Putsch was Hitler's attempt to overthrow the right-wing Bavarian government and then force the provincial leaders at gunpoint to march on Berlin to overthrow the leftist national government. He appears to have acted rashly because he was afraid that the provincial commissioners would march on Berlin without him, or that they would invite the Nazis to march with them on Berlin and then arrest the Nazis and destroy Hitler's career.
